Holland Tunnel
The first Hudson River vehicular tunnel was opened in 1927.
Considered an outstanding engineering achievement, whose principles are employed to this day, the Holland Tunnel was cited as a National Historic Civil and Mechanical Engineering Landmark in 1984.

The Lincoln Tunnel provides a vital link between midtown Manhattan and central New Jersey, and forms part of New Jersey Route 495.

BMW of Manhattan is BMW of North America's corporate flagship store, and one of the largest BMW Centers in the USA.

In addition to serving New York's sales and service needs, the 200,000 square-foot location on 57th Street is a focal point for the BMW marque.

Historically, BMW got its start in the American market in New York City, thanks to an Austrian named Max Hoffman.

Max Hoffman, often referred to as the "father" of the import car business, was a famous New York Car Dealer/Importer who is largely responsible for the US sports car resurgence of the 40's and 50's. He imported  sports cars to the US and made them available after WW II. Hoffman helped sponsor amateur sports car racing in the US and encouraged the European manufacturers to respond to the emerging US sports car market.

Hoffman influenced BMW product marketing in the US for a number of years, and he was even responsible for the "prancing horse" Porsche emblem.

BMW of North America has its headquarters in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey.

This includes BMW US Holding Corporation, the Group's headquarters for North, Central and South America, and BMW Financial Services LLC.

Also in New Jersey are the Eastern Regional Headquarters and Technical Training Center in Montvale, a Parts Distribution Center in Mount Olive, and a Vehicle Preparation Center in Port Jersey.

Located in northern Bergen County, Woodcliff Lake is part of the picturesque Pascack River Valley, characterized by gently rolling wooded hills with large tracts of apple orchards and other wooded regions.
