Press Releases
Madonna will be paid $2.8 million to star as herself in an advertising campaign for BMW, directed by her husband in one of a series of mini-movies for the vehicle company.
For less than a day's work she will also have her pick of the BMW range, while husband Guy Ritchie will earn $280,000 to direct her in the 10-minute short film.
Ritchie is one of several top directors hired by BMW to create "unique" ads.
In 1999 she became the multimillion-dollar face of Max Factor cosmetics. That relationship ended last October.
The Advertiser
Madonna is to earn herself £1 million by starring in an advertising campaign for BMW, to be directed by her husband Guy Ritchie.
The singer will play herself in one of a series of mini movies for the car company. And besides her fee for the ten minute film she will also have her pick of the BMW range while Ritchie will earn £100,000 to direct his wife and British actor Clive Owen in the advert.
According to British newspaper The Mail On Sunday, the ad will be broadcast first on the internet next month and could later be seen on TV and in cinemas.
The plot involves a flustered Madonna rushing out of a hotel, pursued by the paparazzi. She dives into a waiting taxi cab and yells at the driver "Get me out of here!".
When the driver, played by Owen, asks Madonna where she would like to go she says "Take me wherever" to which he replies "Madam, I'm going to give you the ride of your life."
An insider said: "The whole film is dark and quite scary. Madonna ends up going on this wild ride. When she heard about the script she loved it."
Ritchie recently directed the controversial video for Madonna's new single. The promo for 'What It Feels Like For A Girl' involves the singer crashing a car and going on a crime spree with a pensioner.
Dot Music
Madonna is to star in an advert for car manufacturer BMW, directed by husband GUY RITCHIE, according to UK press reports today (March 25).
The Mail On Sunday reports that the queen of pop will be paid £1 million and get her pick of the luxury car range for the 10-minute advert, which will co star Brit TV actor Clive Owen, who appears alongside Matt Damon in forthcoming thriller 'The Bourne Identity', and will premiere on the Internet, before hitting TV screens.
The advert will feature Madonna as herself, being whisked away from the paparazzi by taxi driver Owen. Ritchie is said to be receiving £100,000 for his directorial input in the ad, which an insider described as "dark and quite scary".
