Information |
When BMW first
started building bikes and cars, there were few safety standards in place.
 |
There were no
seat belts, airbags, vehicle sensors or any of the many other safety
factors we now accept as commonplace on a motor vehicle.
Today, all motor vehicles must meet a vast
number of safety standards. And while safety standards vary from country to
country, there are a number of common safety factors all motor vehicles must
meet. |

The links on these pages give information on
vehicle and roadway safety around the world. Many pages directly reference BMW's
outstanding performance on safety tests like crash tests, bumper tests,
roll-overs and many others.
