At a time when carburetors were King, BMW introduced fuel injected
engines into production cars. They proved so successful, suddenly there was a new
King!
Over the years, BMW fuel injection systems have taken many forms.
The classic 2002 tii used a Kugelfischer fuel injection system, but most BMW fuel injection systems
have been made by Bosch. Some of the more common BMW systems are Jetronic and
Motronic.
