2004 BMW-Williams F1 racer
On January 10, 2000, the BMW
WilliamsF1 Team was officially presented to the public as BMW returned to
Formula One action. With four
wins, four pole positions and eight lap records,
2001 was a very good year for BMW in
Formula One.
2002 was even better,
thanks to the introduction of the Williams FW24 and the BMW P82 engine. In
2003, BMW and Williams earned runner-up
position
in the constructor's championship. More...

Unbeatable
BMW: Eighty Years of Engineering and Motorsport
Success
Jeremy Walton, Foreword by Karl-Heinz Kalbfell,
Foreword
by Jochen Neerpasch / Hardcover / Robert Bentley
Publishers / August 1998
Unbeatable
BMW is the comprehensive history of BMW competition
from 1917 through 1997. The first edition of
Unbeatable BMW became a cult classic among
enthusiasts, but its coverage was restricted to the
years 1959-79. Now, this astounding story has been
massively expanded by the author in a hardcover
format, richly illustrated in full color. Jeremy
Walton weaves together the tale of BMW's engineering
know-how, daredevil drivers, inimitable team leaders,
and the cars they championed and drove to the winner's
circle. Behind BMW's envied reputation and the
whirling-propeller badge are such legends as the
prewar BMW 328 sports cars and the 1990s 200 m.p.h.
McLaren/BMW V12s. Unbeatable BMW also gives first-hand
tales of BMW's aviation and motorcycling deeds.
