BMW factory CD changer
interface cable list
If you are adding a CD changer, check out the BMW
OEM Changer Application Guide. The page has a table of BMW models
with changers that will work, interfaces, cables and brackets, and notes.
For 91-94 BMW 5 Series, Pioneer CDX-M30 will work, while Pioneer 4 and
Alpine 5 will not work.
for info on where the cable is located on an E36. On an E32.
On
Navigation equipped cars, you just need the side brackets and the
changer itself. If you don't have the navigation unit and you want to
install it on the left side of the trunk, you will need the install kit
which includes a new trim piece, side brackets, and another bracket which
holds the side brackets.
Info on how to identify
the radio type (and what changer you can use) with the MODE button.
