Sporty cars are the most likely vehicles on which to find BMW Fog Lights, and your BMW is no exception. There’s a BMW fog light on each side of the car, usually situated down low on the front bumper. Their job is to provide a bright stream of auxiliary light in front of, and to the side of, your vehicle in foggy weather without blinding you like your high beams can do. Since your BMW fog lights aren’t used most of the time, they’re usually controlled by a switch separate from your normal headlight switch. When a BMW fog light isn’t working, it’s usually a problem with the bulb. Sitting as low as they do on the bumper invites trouble, and a hit from a stone can sometimes break the delicate BMW fog light bulb without causing any visible damage to the lens itself. So as with any electrical problem, check your bulbs, fuses, and switch, and you’ll likely find your BMW fog light problem in one of those places.
