You know the stuff we're talking about: The black sooty material that collects on your clean alloy wheels ten minutes after you wash your car. The technical term for it is brake dust, but we call it a pain in the %$#%^. That's why we love BMW Brake Dust Shields. The concept behind brake dust shields is so simple, it's a wonder no one thought of it before. Basically, using a thin plastic or metal disc, the holes in your wheel are covered up so no brake dust can get through. Since the BMW brake dust shields have vents in them and they're open at the back, brake overheating doesn't result. Clean wheels do, however, even after hundreds of miles of driving. BMW brake dust shields are easy to install too--just jack up the car, remove the wheel, slip on the brake dust shield, and bolt the wheel back on. Repeat three more times, and you've said goodbye to annoying brake dust for good!
