Chrysler 300C v. Ford Mustang.
I know what you're thinking: how can anyone possibly compare two very different vehicles with one another? Yes, in making that particular presupposition you are correct. No, there isn't too much that can be compared about the two cars, as the 300C is a "near luxury" sedan while the Mustang is a sport coupe. They are two very different cars with two vastly different customer bases. However, the 300C and Mustang are duking it out...in a way that isn't so apparent at first glance. Please read on for some behind the scenes tidbits.

Do you know which two cars compete year in and year out for the honor of being the best selling car in America? Well, it isn't the 300C or the Ford Mustang. In fact, it is the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord that have been fighting for the number spot for the past decade ever since the Ford Taurus ceded that position in the mid 1990s. On the other hand, if you were to ask a group of automobile critics and car enthusiasts which models are generating the most excitement, their answers would include the Chrysler 300C and Ford Mustang at the top of the list. Why is that? Because, both cars are generating a level of enthusiasm for their respective divisions that hasn't been seen in many years. Bold styling and advanced engineering are two areas cited by enthusiasts when they mention the 300C or the Mustang in the same breath.

Let's take a look at some key features of both cars:

Chrysler 300C - The DaimlerChrysler union has produced the 300C, itself based on Mercedes M Class technology. Equipped with either a V6 or V8 engines, this big and beefy rear wheel drive sedan features fine, chiseled good looks, responsive handling, a comfortable ride and a style resembles gangster cars of yesteryear.

Ford Mustang Parts - If you liked the fastback Mustangs of the 1960s and 1970s, then the current iteration will warm your heart. The current Mustang is pure emotion. In addition, it has the speed, handling, power, and good looks to back it all up. The Mustang has outlasted its competition, namely the Chevy Camaro and Pontiac Firebird, and waiting times to snag high-end models is several months long. As far as sales totals go, the two cars are top ten sellers, behind the Camry and Accord as well as the Chevy Impala and Cobalt, the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and the Nissan Sentra. Still, compared to models that they each replaced, their total sales have racked up double digit increases, and something few manufacturers can claim.

Personally, I like both cars and can understand their attraction. Compared to other models out there, both the 300C and Mustang are garnering the most emotional appeal. Who wins in that unofficial category is certainly subjective, but the two cars are definitely leaders.
