M3
Front Suspension Brace. Available from the aftermarket for many
years, BMW is now equipping M3 Coupe and Convertible models with a
suspension brace.

As an
additional safety feature, 3 Series Sedans now have a third rear
headrest and 3-point seatbelt. A front armrest is standard in the 3
Series Sedan and Touring models, and a moonroof is standard in the
Touring model. More...
Navigation System upgrades. The navigation system has been upgraded to
use DVD technology. Now, all USA roads are available on 1 disc. Also,
an in dash CD player is available when the navigation system is
ordered.
The
rain sensor and automatic headlight control are now part of the
Premium Package on most models.
A tire
pressure monitor replaces the flat-tire monitor on vehicles equipped
with run-flat tires.
Sequential
Manual Gearbox (SMG):
SMG is a clutch-less manual 5-speed transmission that is operated
by two paddles behind the steering wheel or via the gearshift
lever, like those found on
Formula One race cars.
SMG is available in the USA only on the M3. In other markets, SMG
is available as optional equipment on the 325i and 330i Sedan and
Coupe models.
