For 2001, the 3 Series models include sporty sedan, versatile wagon, elegant coupe, stylish
convertible, and finally M3, the ultimate in performance, known simply and powerfully by one letter; just say "M".
This is BMW's 3 Series for 2001: distinct models, each with custom colors and trim, packages and accessories, all designed to transform your driving experience to the
ultimate.
Including new all-wheel drive sedans and wagons, and the all new 3.0 liter M54 engine, the 3 Series cars for 2001 in the USA consists of these models:
325 Models:

325i Sedan. A 4-door sedan with the new 2.5-liter, 184-hp 6-cylinder engine, replacing the former 323i sedan.

325xi Sedan. The all-wheel drive version of the 325i sedan.

325i Touring. Introduced in 2000 as the 323i sport or touring wagon, this model also gets the new 2.5-liter, 184-hp 6-cylinder engine for
2001.

325xi Touring. The all-wheel drive version of the 325i wagon.

325Ci Coupe. A 2-door coupe with the same powertrain and basic chassis features as the 325i. The 325Ci Coupe's distinct body, standard
sport suspension and other equipment upgrades set the coupe apart from the sedan.

325Ci Convertible. A more powerful version of the 323Ci convertible introduced in 2000. Includes a full complement of safety features for
convertibles as standard equipment.
330 Models:

330i Sedan. The 3 Series' upscale sedan is now available with the new 3.0-liter engine and upgrades ranging from larger brakes, wheels and
tires to premium exterior trim.

330xi Sedan. The all-wheel drive version of the 330i Sedan.

330Ci Coupe. The top-of-the-line coupe, with the same 3.0-liter powertrain and chassis features as the 330i plus standard sport
suspension.

330Ci Convertible. The top-of-the-line convertible, also with the new 3.0-liter powertrain and safety features for
convertibles.
M3 Model:
- M3 Coupe. The 2001 M3 has a 3.2 liter inline six cylinder 330-horsepower powerplant with many high performance features.
Production of the 330 models began in June 2000, while the 325 models entered production in September 2000. |
