Land Management (BLM) has become one of the U.S. government's most popular
conservation programs. According to BLM, Americans have adopted over 169,000
wild horses and burros removed from public lands.
Internet users can view and even bid to adopt wild horses and burros online
at the BLM's
Wild Horse & Burro Internet Adoption Web Site. Internet adoptions are held
periodically throughout the year with the next bidding scheduled in June or
