Technical Facts
The
induction system is EFI HS 3.3 or EFI 3.1. The spark plugs are Bosch surface
gap. The transmission is a Hewland six-speed. The steering is BMW 3 series
production power steering. The differential is 75% limited slip with a final
drive ratio of 3.89 to 1.
The
suspension is McPherson strut with coil springs and adjustable anti-roll bar in
the front, and Central Link with coil springs and adjustable anti-roll bar in
the rear. The BMW PTG M3 uses JRZ shocks and Eibach springs. The brakes are
Brembo/PFC ventilated disc design with a 6-piston caliper in the front and a
4-piston caliper in the rear.
For
the current season, the BMW PTG M3 uses Yokohama racing tires 290/640-18 in the
front and 290/680-18 in the rear. The wheels are BBS 11 x 18 in. all around.
