A New Way to Drive is the official BMW site featuring the new 7 Series. Register and you can download QTR videos of the interior and exterior.

The new 7 Series was displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2001. It was launched in Europe on November 17th 2001, and it first appeared in the USA and in other markets in the spring of 2002.

The future of automotive design and technology lies at the heart of the new 7 Series. BMW concepts have been brought to life with iDrive.

Instead of a bewildering array of switches, knobs and buttons, the BMW iDrive cockpit is divided into two separate sections: the driving zone, containing all controls essential to driving, and the comfort zone, where a central console serves to easily and smoothly regulate all the vehicle's comfort functions.
