Combining the virtues of the 325is with
the added security and performance of full-time four-wheel drive, the BMW
325iX was introduced as the BMW for all seasons. Except for its driveline,
the 325iX was virtually identical to the rear-wheel drive 325is 3 Series
sedan.
There were a few differences between the two 325 models, since the 325iX
had body-colored rocker-panel extensions, more pronounced wheel-opening
flares, and 205/55VR-15 tires on 7.0-inch wheels. And the 325iX is 0.8
inches higher than its 2-wheel drive counterpart.
