Australia is an island continent of some 7.5 million square kilometers.
Deep in the Australian Outback, Uluru - also known as Ayers Rock - is the world's biggest monolith. It is 9.4km if you walk around it, and about 345 meters high if you climb it. It is
thought to be the tip of a mountain which extends kilometers below the surface.
