K1200 RS

The world's first Aboriginal Art Motorcycle is a BMW K1200 RS sports model, painted by noted Aboriginal artist Biggibilla Gummaroi for BMW Australia.

BMW's support for vehicle art has resulted in 16 spectacular Art Cars since the early 1970s.

The stories and songs of Australia's Gummaroi people are central to Biggibilla's work, with his paintings forming an indelible link to his Aboriginal ancestry.

"The paintings I create are a testament to Aboriginal cultural survival, a commitment to continuing to preserve Aboriginal knowledge through history, for all future generations, in response to the continuing ignorance of Aboriginal culture."
